Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

My husband applied for I-601a and it was denied on December 2014. We planned on reapplying for the I-601a until we got the money together for the packet and barely contacted the Juarez Consulate a couple of weeks ago. They said that my husband had not been in contact with them in over a year and that if he wanted his case to be reinstated that he had to fax a hand written letter (with any evidence) to them stating the reasons he did not keep in contact. What exactly should he write on the letter?

What you write, or better yet what your lawyer writes, should be developed after discussions with you regarding why you failed to keep in contact with the Department of State and the NVC. We've handled these cases and each case is different. How you write the letter is important as you want to write to persuade the NVC to do something they don't have to do! Feel free to give us a call if you'd like to hire legal counsel.
