Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

My husband works for an oilfield service company driving a frac-sand trucks. He is a company driver but they do not pay him when the load is being pushed back or cancelled over 24-hour on the road. They tell him that is a part of the job and would not let him go home. They also bring the drivers in for company meetins out of town but do not pay for the time they spend for the meeting or the time they spend on taking the trucks to the shop. (both about an hour each way). They even advise drivers not to log in to the system though they are in the truck waiting for the load. It sounds like to me they are making drivers work off the clock, not paying them. I wonder if there is any legal ground to sue the company for not compensating his time whil he is operating the company truck.
