Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Required overtime

I am classified as a Full-Time employee.

I am regularly scheduled to work from 6AM-3PM M-F

My job is to answer the phone and provide answers.

My supervisor informed me that if I receive a call that would take me beyond 3PM, I am required to complete the call, no matter how long the call. It could be a couple of minutes past 3PM or an hour past 3PM. I informed my supervisor that I have commitments out side of work, the reply was '' I must complete the call''. Am I required to work past my regularly scheduled hours?
