Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

death of pet under the care of a kennel

My dog was under the care of a kennel for 2 days. According to them he got into a quick fight with another dog while being walked on a leash. He died two days later from his injuries which were mostly to his hind legs and stomach area. What are my legal options? When looking at the pictures taken of his injuries it is evident that this was no quick frontal confrontation from dogs that were supposedly on a leash.

Re: death of pet under the care of a kennel

As a dog/cat and pet in general lover...it is sad but Courts..especially Texas...continue to rule that all one would be entitled tow would be nominal cost or value of pet..plus vet bills..and no attorney fees..so one could go to small claims court for $50 and get upt to $5000...

Since the dog was in their control and they are kennel owners, I believe they are responsible and their excuse rings hollow. If they will not pay you a reasonable sum for your damages, then you should sue them.

I am sorry for your loss. To avoid personal involvement and the pain of dealing with this directly, you might want to consider hiring a personal injury lawyer to help you.
