Personal Injury
I think I probably need a lawyer for my medical bills, but for my personal injury protection money, if I have less medical bills than my limit (30,000 I think), do they just give me the actual amount of my bills or the entire 30,000?

From your brief description I am assuming that you are referencing a 3rd party claim (claim against the person that caused your injuries) and a 1st party claim (PIP). In reference to the first, you may very well need an attorney to protect your rights and maximize your recovery. You may or may not need an attorney for your PIP. PIP is no-fault, meaning it will reimburse you for reasonable and necessary medical bills and lost wages, regardless of who's fault the accident was. You will need to fill out a PIP application and submit records for a reimbursement. You may need an attorney if the insurance company hassles you over the amount they deem is "reasonable," if they are slow, or if they request that you submit to an examination under oath.
