Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

When presenting an attorney and/or lawfirm with the important particulars of your case, what info. should you give and what is too much for initial contact? Due to some potential complexities and/or circumstances of case it is my desire to first send a brief case synopsis to attorney in question. What should I send to inform but not overdo so attorney can consider case?

Not enough info since type of case--negligence, intentional tort, type of vehicle (truck, auto) make a short answer to your question impossible. Generally a couple of paragraphs is sufficient to get started.

If it is a meritorious case, I will routinely spend 2 hours with clients reviewing salient facts.

To give you an idea of the areas of interest in an auto negligence case:

Mostly Looking for how claim or wreck arose-conduct of parties including brakes, swerve. lookout, assured clear distance between vehicles, estimates of speed, police investigation, amount of property damage, Amount of Insurance coverage on Defendant, and Nature, extent/duration of injuries and their permanency. Amount of medical and disciplines of treating doctors are critical. A lot of chiropractic, a negative.
