Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I own a working ranch in Llano country. When my divorced daughter visits and brings her 12 and 16 year kids, she has shared custody with the ex-husband, if one of the kids is accidently hurt on my property, can my ex-son - in - law sue me in a court of law?

There should be an order stating whether one or both parents have the right to legally represent the children. You may want to ask you daughter about this. If your grandchild gets hurt due to your negligence, then your property insurance policy should cover the damage claim. If it's a large sum, the $ will be paid into an account set up for the child when he/she reaches the age of 18. You may want to consider either an umbrella policy and/or getting releases, signed by the parent who has authority to act for the child, waiving simple negligence claims of the children while on the ranch.
