Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Breaking a lease?

I have heard that if you are in a lease with an apt in the state of tx and you build a house that you are not bound to your lease agreement. If this is true then are we still obligated to pay the reletting fee? Given that we have give a 30 day notice?

Re: Breaking a lease?

No, you are still obligated under your lease and would be liable to the landlord for any damages including the reletting fee.
