Homeowners Assoc Problem

I recently had damaged to my condo done by contractors hired by the homeowners assoc. president. The homeowners insurance came out, did an estimate, then mailed the money to the homeowners assoc. president. She has so far not even acknowledged the fact she has the money to fix my condo. What can I do???!!!

Sounds like the damage is to a common area if contractors hired by the association were working on it. If so, the association would be responsible for its repair and I assume that the insurance proceeds are from an association insurnace policy. If your insurance carrier is paying for a claim on your property, there is no reason that the assocation should be paid. Larry Maun 713-266-2560
