Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Husband and Wife LLC

My wife would like to start an LLC investing in real estate, and she wants to be considered a woman owned business. However, she needs me to be able to sign contracts, documents, at closings, etc. How can she have ''woman owned'' status and yet not have to pay me a salary or payroll taxes?

Check the internet for the WMBE Certification packet. All requirements will be in the forms that are necessary to fill out for this certification. Any time you open a business you should have a good attorney and a good CPA. Good luck.
