Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My mom died and the will was lost. I have 7 siblings all related however the oldest two filed in probate court to be diversees of the estate with letters of testimonial. What does all that mean? Do I lose out as an heir?

You have to get a copy of what the filed (it's public record). If there's a copy of the will, they can ask the court to follow the copy, but they will have to jump through a bunch of hoops. If there is no copy, then they should file a motion to determine heirs, so that all children will be included.

Again, you should obtain copies of what they filed, and start there. Many counties have their filings online.
