Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

wills

My mother died in 2003, after being married to my stepfather for over 30 years. Originally, both my half sister and I were in their will. At the time my mother died, there was no life insurance and we also received no ''personal'' property of my mother's. In 2004, he requested that I give him the copy of the original will, because he had changed it and would supply with a new copy. What I have found is that he has cut both my half sister and I out of his will. I'm not greedy, but my mother was a stay at home mother and raised his 4 children, so he could pursue his military career. My mother would turn over in her grave if she knew that he has basically ''disowned'' her kids. Do we have any legal recourse?

Re: wills

Probably not, since he is free to do with his property whatever he so chooses. If your mother gave all her property to him, it became his property, and you have no claim.
