Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I have court awarded physical custody of my 2 minor children. The children started their 4 week summer stay with their mom on June 12 and agreed to return them on July 12. My son was supposed to start educational tutoring on the 13th, but my ex is refusing to return them as agreed. What do I need to do to facilitate their return?

Ask him when he is planning to return them, preferably through email or other writing so that you can present it to the Court. Describe the summer-time parent-time as listed in the Decree, or in the statute if not mentioned in the Decree, and begin to notify him that he needs to return them or you will take further action in the court and make a report to the police for custodial interference. (The custodial interference report may not lead to much other than more proof that you told him to return the children, but that documentation can be helpful in court.)
