Legal Question in Family Law in Vermont

divorce question

Married nineteen years. no children. we were kicked out of our house after 10 years because my husband had a prostitute and drugs and I caught him. Been trying to forgive and move on for 9 years; but he is a deviant. I want out. What are my rights about the house we were kicked out of? I live in Vt. He has abandoned me in respects to self respect, finacial support, mental torture, feeling of worthlessness, etc. He has a large inheritance coming and I know that is what he is waiting for. We have no savings, no home, no security. Where should I start. I have wanted to help him through his addictions, but I am 51 and feel scared about my remaining years. Please advise. I have not seeked a lawyer yet; and he will be a bastard and lie about everything. thanks
