Legal Question in Banking Law in Virginia

Fake Check?

I got a check like document in the mail today. It came in a plain envelope, no return address. The document itself appears to be a check, has watermarks, microprinting, etc... It's computer printed, made out to me, with my full name and address on it. The company name on the ''check'' is unfamiliar to me, and the amount on the check is almost as much as I make in a year. The only thing I can find wrong with it, is the routing number on the bottom is one digit short. Can anyone give me advice as to what my legal responsibilities are? I'm nervous about trying to take it to the bank, but it appears to be a real check, and it's made out to me, so what should I do? Thanks.
