Is it okay to select random winners for our Event for childrens?

What would be the method to select random winners?

We need more information than this to be able to consider your question. What type of event is this? Why you are you selecting winners? That is, what do they win? I am not sure what makes you think there could be a problem. If you are giving away something of value (money or a product), where is it coming from? Is it public school money that is being used?
