Statute Of Liminations

The Time Frame; for filing suit for damages. The Contract was in writing, and specified a compleation date, which was breeched by the other parties, namely breeching the expressed clause of hendering the compleation of work by not completing their part of the agreement. the defaulting parties signed a stop work order to complete other work on another project, and never re-started the stopped project. The contract was signed in Jan. 1991,by all parties,we have had several meetings, with no results as to a resulation on the finish specifacations, concerning Changes and Additives to the contract.

Statute of limitations

In Virginia, the statute of limitations for breach of a written contract is 5 years fromthe date of the breach (with a few mitigatingpossibilities). It does not run from the datethe contract was signed.
