Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Definition of Wages Judgement

I have a judgement pending against me in the State of PA. I recently moved to VA. Given the fact that the judgement could be collected in VA and as a result I could have my wages garnished, what is the definition of wages (Sub-s earnings, commission earned and assigned to Corporation, interest, dividends etc.)?

Re: Definition of Wages Judgement

Wages are wages, basically. Sub-S distributions, interest, and dividends are not wages, making them garnishable at 100%, instead of 25%. Your S-corp. stock can also be executed on and sold. Commissions assigned to the corporation may be subject to garnishment as well (at 100%) depending on the circumstances.
