Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Me and my husband purchased furniture from grand furniture. Well my husband got kicked out of the army so the allotment to pay them stopped.. He is not working now and not getting unemployment yet. We talked with grand furniture and said we can make payments to them maybe 100 every 2 weeks.. they told us that was not enough and that they are going to issue a warrant for my husbands arrest for stolen property. We told them if they want they can come get there property. My question to you is can they really issue a warrant for his arrest even if he does send in a payment that we can afford. Thank you for your time.

No, first of all, a furniture company has no legal authority to issue a warrant of arrest for anyone, and, furthermore, what you've described is a civil rather than a criminal matter, and in the United States, courts norrnally do not issue issue arrest warrants for folks who are unable to pay their debts.
