Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

We recently received notice from a Property Management company that a Judgement was rendered against us in November 2000 in the State of Virginia. Are we legally obligated to pay this judgement after nearly 11 years?

Yes, if the judgment is still valid and therefore enforceable. (Judgments rendered in the general district court are normally valid for 10 years and can be renewed for another 10. Judgments from the circuit court are valid for 20 years and can be renewed for another 20.)
