Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

exspungement

was in my best interest to plead guilty even though i did not feel as though i was guilty of all charges against me. he told me that my case would not be good to go before a jury and/or judge and that pleading guilty was my best option. he also told me that i would be able to get my record expunged later but now i am finding out that that will not be possible. is there any way around this ?? can i get my record expunged? could i still appeal or fight my case/side? (this happened in virginia)

Re: exspungement

If the offense that you pleaded guilty to was a felony, there's virtually no chance that it can ever be expunged from your record.(Furthermore, when one enters a plea of guilty to a crime charged, one thereby gives up his or right of appeal.)
