How do I obtain a restraining order to keep a known child molester, that my moth

My wife an I have been married for a few years now and we have a 3 year old son. My mother-in-law is going to marry the same man that raped my wife (her daughter) before I met her when she was about 10 years old. Now, I need to get a restraining order to keep this person away from my 3 year old child. Is this a social service issue or do I go talk directly with a judge in my home state of Virginia for the restraining order? I am desperate. Please help.

Thank you.

go to your Juvenile and Domestic Relations General District Court and tell the clerk your problem. she may direct you to an intake officer who can help. My feeling is that unless he was convicted of the rape, or has recent run ins with

the law or other family memebers this will be hard to obtain. Your wife may have to join you

in the complaint.
