Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I pleaded no contest to non-violent sexual abuse of a minor 3rd degree misdemeanor in WV, where I would be required to register for 10 years. However, I now live in VA, where I am required to register for 15 years. After 10 years, I may petition the WV court to ask to be removed from the register. If my petition is granted, would that only apply to register in WV, or would I have to continue to register in VA for yet an additional 5 years?

Yes, I believe that the earliest your petition for removal from the Virginia registry

could be filed would be 15 years from the date of your WV conviction (assuming

this conviction is one covered under Va. Code Sec. 9.1-907).
