Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I do not qualify financially for a court appointed attorney. But my husband REFUSES to let me hire one because of cost. I am on probation for prior charges, and have jumped through every hoop I've been given, and have worked very hard to make up for the mistakes I made. Me and my husband were separated for a while because of those mistakes, and while we were I had to apply for food stamps to get by. When we worked things out and got back together, I still had 1 1/2 months of food stamps available. Instead of turning them back in, I gave them to a friend who was in serious need of some help. A few months later I find out I have a warrant out for my arrest for food stamp fraud, 2 felony counts. I don't know what to do. Can someone please give me some advice

Assuming that as a spouse you have access to joint bank or other accounts

as well as assets, you should be able to access these assets to acquire the

funds that you need to hire a competent criminal defense counsel

to represent you in this matter whether your husband approves or not.
