Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My boyfriend is currently in jail for violation of probation. He says if they "hit" him with child support he could serve a year. He currently has no income.Can they charge him with that??? :-/

No, in Virginia the Commonwealth Attorney's office is

involved only in prosecuting individuals accused of committing

crimes in the Commonwealth and not with collecting back

child support arrearages or pursuing other civil enforcement action(s)

against those who have accumulated such arrearages.
