Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have joint custody of my 7 year old daughter in Virginia. I have primary custody of her she goes to her dad's every other weekend and there is established order for visitation. He is married, just kicked his wife out and moved another married woman in who is his girlfriend. Neither have a legal or any separation. She has two kids with two different men who she gets here and there. Do I have any rights or can I file for a temporary order for full custody. I do not want my daughter in that unstable environment. He has exposed her to so many women in the past and it is not right. Thank you

You can always file a motion to change custody if there has been a material change in circumstances. Whether or not that will be granted will be based on the facts proven at the hearing. If you contact the Virginia Lawyer Referral Service at (800) 552-7977, you will be referred to an attorney who will charge only $35 for a half-hour consultation. You may find this to be a very good investment.

The Virginia Lawyer Referral Service is most likely going to provide a brief description of some options. But I always suggest you hire an attorney in these cases. They get very messy and you really should know what you are doing and how to proceed. Consultations cannot teach you the law and procedures in one half hour. Good luck. Attorney Shane.
