What is the legal age a child in the state of Virginia can voice which parent they want to reside with?

The is no such particular "legal age" for such an issue but courts

will generally give some weight to a child's preference expressed in such a matter once the child attains roughly the age range 11-14 along with other factors such as the child's level in school as well as overall maturity.
