Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Possession of the property

My husband and I are getting divorced. He wants me to move out as we started separation. Does it matter who lives in the house at separation? How does that impact property distribution? Thanks a lot!

It does not, but if you think that you should stay and that your husband is the one who should move, you may have to litigate this particular matter unless the two of you can come to a mutually satisfactory agreement.
