Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I'm in a process of separation but are not yet separated. my wife wants to go out of the country with intentions of coming back. What are the guidelines for abandonment of a home, can I do something legally about it? How can I protect myself from abandoment as well I decide to go out of the country. ThANK YOU

Your cannot prevent your wife from leaving the United States irrespective

of what her true intentions may be, and under Virginia law her mere leaving

of this country in and of itself would not be legally construed, i.e., interpreted, as the abandonment of the marital home.

From the facts you've presented thus far in this question (as well as the

somewhat awkward manner in which you've done so) would suggest to me

that you'd be well advised to seek a consultation with a Virginia attorney

who handles domestic relations matter and who should be able to further advise

you in this matter.
