Who is responsible?

If it is 10 pm and I am in bed and my 14 yr old child and his friend go to the store and get liquor. After they got the liquor they went and stole my childs friend, sisters car. They went out joy riding and drinking and everything. Well they come home and when they got home they ran into the neighbors SUV. Who is responsible for the damages. Thank you for your help.

You don't say whether your son was actually driving the vehicle which later was involved in

the accident and whether he was actually involved in what you've characterized as the "theft" of this automobile.

Parents, as a general principle, may be held responsible for the willful torts(civil wrongs)

of their children 14 years or older. More facts, however, are probably needed in the situation which you've described in order to determine what, if any, liability you might have for the damage resulting from your son's "nightride gone wrong", so to speak.
