Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My sons father is taking me to court for emergency custody of my 10 year old son. Court is currently set for December but the GAL requested an expedited hearing 2 weeks ago. Due to the fact we are living with a friend. I was offered a full time job in another county (same state) with benefits. Moving would allow me to get back on my feet but I need to know if moving, regardless of this opportunity, will cause them to take him from me? I can't lose him, I wouldn't know what to do. Please help!

Unless your moving would violate a current court order which may govern the matter, such a move should

have little to do with the pending custody matter unless the father can somehow demonstrate that

such a move would seriously interfere with his custody rights with respect to his son (my opinion).
