Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I gave consent a year and a half ago for someone to leave a vehicle on my property. I only gave the individual verbal consent for 1 week. I was just trying to help a friend. I have tried several times to contact the individual about moving their vehicle off of my property. I am contacting DMV for a certified letter to remove the vehicle. Is their any other advice of approach I could take?

I doubt that DMV would have the authority to order this vehicle removed

from private property by way of a certified letter, but you may wish to consider arranging a consultation with a local attorney who handles civil litigation matters in your area to discuss the best way to have this vehicle removed from your property under the particular facts of this case, including, possibly, filing papers in the general district court to have it declared a private nuisance and therefore subject to the court's order for removal.
