Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Judicial Corruption

How do you reveal corruption in the Circuit Courts? & can you sue a judge that assigned himself to my case 2 days before the trial was to begin? The evidence in this case was so overwhelming in favour of the complainant me, but the judges ruling was totally contrary to Virginia State Code 20-107.3 My first attorney broke the attorney/client privelge by making a part of the record, confidential information. He was released. My next attorney told me that in her many years of law practice, she had never had a client with so much proof by way of evidence. She got a phone call from the court at 7 in the evening that the judge had been changed and that the defence wanted to go first on the stand. My attorney was not the same in the court room. She let the defence go first & she turned in all my original documents. When I told her that I wanted to appeal the ruling she said she could not represent me & resigned herself from my representation the day the order was signed. After 2 att's, I appealed the case myself. The Appellate Court ordered him to give me 45 days to get the transcripts. The judge announced his retirement 2 weeks later. My case was dismissed because I sent my 326 page Brief & Appendix on the day it was due by Fed-ex.

Re: Judicial Corruption

Too bad you missed the appellate court deadline. Sounds like you had a hell of a case.

Re: Judicial Corruption

Well, I'm not sure from what you describe that this is corruption, although it may be gross incompetence. Unfortunately, there is a great deal of incompetence in the legal system not only because of individual judges being bad, but because judges are overworked and because the system itself is a disaster.

Please contact me about the efforts of the Legal Affairs Council to bring improvement to the legal system.
