my husband was in a no fault truck/car accident in the state of virginia. the insurance tried to get us to pay we told them it was a company vehicle we never heard from them again. oct 1998 we found that there was judgement against my husband we called the attorney that placed it.they said they would change it to the company, we never heard from them again. in aug 1999 we found that his license had been suspended and he got a very big ticket over this he is a truck driver, this is how he pays his child support. how can we get them to change the judgement without going to virgina and how can we keep them from suspending his license again.

Re: truck accident

There is no such thing as a no-fault accident in Va., at least as the term no-fault is commonly understood. He needs to retain Virginia counsel and find out how he was sued without finding out about it and hopefully try either to get the judgment vacated or get someone (insurance co., employer) to pay it. Virginia will suspend his license for failure to pay any judgment arising out of a motor vehicle accident, and other states may honor this.
