Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

We rented a cabin for our Honeymoon in November 2014. The first payment was supposed to come out in July 2014 when I booked it. Apparently it never came out. The rest of the payments came out as scheduled. She called me and said she was taking it out now (February 2015). Is she legally allowed to do that?
