Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Auto Accident and Injury

The at fault insurance company has offered a personal injury settlement that barely covers the medical bills. It appears that I am being forced to hire an attorney to obtain a fair settlement. What would I need to do to file my own law suit?

You could go to the clerk's office of your local general district court and file your suit for damages(assuming they don't exceed $15000) for three times the amount of the medical bills/expenses + the medical expenses and any other so-called out of pocket expenses which derive from the event which occasioned the personal injury and for which the law allows your just compensation.
