Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My husband bought a vehicle only in his name. He has past away. As his surviving wife, am I liable to continue making these payments or can I just allowed it to be repossessed by the bank and not hurt my credit report?

You should send a letter to the bank/lender clarifying that you have no responsibility for making

these car payments now that your husband has passed away and that if the vehicle is repossessed it

should have no ill effect whatsoever on your particular personal credit record..
