Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

I left Iran in 1979 & my father married 2 month before I left. He was a wealthy man & always kept his bank accounts under his name only. Somehow, it seems that during his sick days & before passing, her name was added to his name. Can I claim any of this money? Also, my grand father, left his lot and house under my name only. She is not releasing the deed to me. Can I somehow thru government get the deed which is legally under my name? Thank you so much,

If all of this property remains in Iran and therefore subject to the jurisdictional power and laws of that country, then the answer to your question must be no since (as you undoubtedly know by now), the U.S. has no diplomatic

relations with Iran.

Of course, notwithstanding the above, you could always travel to Iran and hire an attorney there to litigate your claims before the courts of the mullahs, but

ultimately you may end up staying there longer than you had planned and without resolving any of your legal issues(in my opinion).
