What is a seller's liability for title defects from a quit claim deed?

In conveyng real property via a quitclaim deed, the conveyer purports to transfer only such interest as s/he only in fact actually has -----and nothing more, and, therefore,such person under normal circumstances should not be liable

for any defects in the title which normally is the responsibility of the

title insurer.
