Legal Question in Consumer Law in Washington

I hired a law firm to represent me in a DUI case. I signed a contract with said Law Firm. My case was then assigned to a "of Counsel Attorney". Aftre my case was completed i recieved a bill, I called the firm and requeseted a more detailed bill. I never recieved one and the firm has since dissolved and i cant get a hold of anyone there. The " Of Cousel Attorney" that handled my case just sent me a email asking me to pay her directly. Should i pay her? What would be stopping the firm for asking for payment down the road?

If the firm later complained you would have a strong defense for indemnification from the hired attorney (specifically - if I owe you, law firm, anything then the attorney owes it to you). The attorney would probably be willing to sign an indemnity agreement stating that if the other firm sues you for what you pay him/her then he will be responsible for anything you paid him....
