Discrimination based on sexual orientation

Is it illegal in the state of Washington for employers to discriminate in their hiring practices based on sexual orientation?

Interesting question. Offhand being in Ohio, I do not know. I am going to save this question and check out some resources on the web. If I find something, I will let you know. Feel free to check with me on my progress. Or you might check with the local bar association to find an attorney there who handles these matters. Or you might try your state Civil Rights Commission. Someone there should be at least able to answer whether state discrim laws cover this situation.
