Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

i am currently 18 years old and in the extended foster care program. i am wanting to take a trip to Guatemala with my daughter who is under my care and not a dependent of the state i was wondering if i will be able to make this decision? or could my social worker say no? she has never said no to me before and has told me that i am old enough to make decisions for myself as long as i let her know where i am going and where i will be staying but does this apply to another country?

Simple answer: ask her.

If she says no, ask her to provide you the written legal for her authority to say no (RCW, WAC, DSHS policy or court order).

If she has the authority, you may want to reconsider your involvement in the program. Or you might ask for a meeting with her and her supervisor.
