It depends upon a number of factors. Do the parents want the child back? Further, are the parents capable of taking care of the child? Are they capable of exercising proper parental supervision, can they financially provide for the child and provide the child with the essentials of life of food, shelter, clothing, medical care and nurturing and guidance for the child? Have you spoken with the parents about returning custody to them? You would have to go to a lawyer and have the appropriate documents drafted and then go to a court hearing before a judge who would then decide what would be done next. The judge is bound by the standard of what is in the child's best interest regardless of what you or the parents would want. This is a complicated situation that has no easy solution or answer. You need to immediately speak with an experienced family law lawyer about your situation to plan the best course of action. Good Luck!
