Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

My husband has just been shorted on his payroll check form a major airline ......what are his rights. He was told he would have to wait 2 weeks for compensation. How does a family of 5 on one income grasp that?

Is he union? That might have some screws to turn. Otherwise it might be worth going to a check cashing place. Find one that offers the first time free... and use it ONLY ONCE! Those places can very quickly become addicting and over priced. It sounds like a genuine emergency where I would suggest borrowing from friends/family. But if they can't help, then try a check cashing place to give an advance that you WILL PAY BACK as soon as the next check comes in.

In other words, you might have to see a loan shark. I just don't think there is any legal way to do anything. It's very hard to get a hearing because no one wants to pay more taxes and then things get cut, and to work within the budget dockets get clogged.

Justice delayed is justice denied as they say.
