Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Washington

Breast cancer undiagnosed

I was seeing my PCP for an L&I,(many x's) and kept telling him I had a lump in my breast and he said not to worry I was too young and had no family history. He said because I didnt have private insurance he couldn't check it unless I was going to pay cash (which I couldn't do at the time)well 9 months went by I got married and started working for the city and had good insurance,I was so tired all the time I went in to get my blood ck'd for possible anemia. I was getting ready to walk out the door when I thought maybe he could ck it out now. Well they called me back in the office after the biopsy and then he said to me in a hateful tone. Why didn't you go to a community doctor? Now you have invasive breast cancer. He then went on to say he would have to change my records to say that we had just found this otherwise the insurance wouldn't pay. I wasn't even thinking at that minute and I agreeded because I couldn't pay for all the medical expenses. I didn't even stop to think, I didn't have a pre existing diagnoses because I had never been diagnosed, he just wanted to cover his own butt. 2 months into chemo he refused to do a pap (even tho I had cervical cancer in 1993) said the chemo would take care of it. I fired him as my pcp.
