Public school student to student sexual harrasment

A female public school student has been sexually harrased by a male student. (He has also harrassed other students). The mother talked to the superintendant who basically blew her off and blamed it on the female student. He claimed he warned the male student. The female student refuses to go back to school and is now being home taught.

If it's within 6 months of the incident, file a complaint for free with the WA State Human Rights Commission. You can also file with the Civil Rights Division of the Dept of Education - they have a Seattle office, I think. I don't know what the time limit is for DOE.

If the male student touched the female student inappropriately, you may also be able to get your local county prosecutor to file assault charges.

Good luck.
