Legal Question in Consumer Law in West Virginia

cease and desist, criminal trespass

About a 1 1/2 weeks ago my mother was forced to resign. My sister quit at the same place of employment a few days later.

On 7/11/09 I recieved a letter from that company stating that I was now under a cease and desist, criminal trespass order. I was found to be a party to ''embezzlement, fraud, and theft'' accoring to ''eyewitness reports, internal investigation, and closed circut cameras''. This notice was sent to the local police department in Keyser, WV as well as to me through Certified Mail.

Its been over two months since I've even been inside the store and I never was there at a regular basis before my family members quit. I've never taken anything that was not paid for.

Also all members of my family, minus my father, have recieved this order. It was sent to members of my family in three seperate households, the majority of us have never had anything to do with (or have shopped with) that establishment.

Is there anything that I can do about this before the accusations get me fired from my own job or cause trouble with the local authorities?

if you believe they are false, you may have a right to a civil action for defamation.
