my son took a polygraph test in 2006 he passed, all charges were dismissed. after he turns 18 is there anyway they can try to charge him again?

It may be legally possible, but it also sounds unlikely. I am not sure why they would do so. However, polygraph exams are very unreliable, prone to error, and for that reason not admissible in court.
