Legal Question in Workers Comp in West Virginia

Benefits (if any)

I was injured while working, I filed all the paperwork through WC and had to hire an attorney because of this case. While in the hospital I had complications (heart attack). WC is not willing to cover anything that is related to the heart. I found out after a stress test that I had heart disease (3 major blockages) and ended up having a triple bypass. I have been off work going on 4 months now and haven't received a penny! My injuries were as follows:Fractured skull, broken collarbone, fractured eye socker, dislocated thumb and broken knuckle. Needless to say I have not recovered from these injuries. Even if WC didn't cover anything with the heart they should still be paying me until my doctor releases me to go back to work. My attorney claims that there is no such thing as pain and suffering WC payments in WV and that I will receive nothing more then my loss of income and they should pay my medical bills. HOW CAN THIS BE?? I will never be right again, not only because i had my chest cracked open, but i will live with shoulder pain and most likely hand pain also...Please help!!

Re: Benefits (if any)

Your attorney is correct in that there is no pain and suffering under WC. I am also certain that he told you that you will receive a permanent partial disability award. You should have some faith in the advice of your lawyer.
