Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

child custody

My 5 year old son has been staying with my parents in Wisconsin ( I live in oklahoma) while I went through a divorce. My divorce is final and I want my son to come live with me again and my parents are refusing to allow him to move. They say since he has lived with them for over a year that it would be detrimental to his well-being and they would contact a lawyer and take me to court to get custody of him. I am his legal guardian and his father disappeared 5 years ago. I'm not sure what to do, not wanting to ruin my relationship with them, but if they woudl take me to court would they even have a chance?

Re: child custody

I do not understand your relationship to this child. You say the father has disappeared (but he is still the father) and you say nothing about the child's mother. You do say you are the guardian, but you do not explain how you became the guardian or through what court you did this or even what state handled the guardianship.

Your question cannot be answered without more detail.
